Where is my time tracking data stored?
Your data is stored 100% locally in your browser using IndexedDB. TimeDoco does not operate a database server, and no entries, timecodes, client names, or financial rates are ever sent across the network.

Because TimeDoco is strictly client-side without cloud accounts, automatic background syncing across devices is not supported. You can easily transfer your data between devices using the full JSON Backup and Restore feature in Settings.
TimeDoco provides comprehensive exporting options:
Tax rates (inclusive or exclusive) and custom currency symbols are configured in Settings or customized on the fly within the Analysis & Reports view. Tax calculations apply directly to financial summaries and PDF invoices without modifying hourly logs.
Yes! TimeDoco is a Progressive Web App (PWA). Click the "Install App" button in the application interface or use your browser's install option to add TimeDoco directly to your desktop or home screen for standalone offline access.
TimeDoco is designed as a privacy-first, client-side application, which means all the timesheet tracking and data processing happens directly within your own web browser. Because there is no need to maintain expensive cloud servers or external databases to manage user data, our operational costs are incredibly low—limited primarily to the domain name and development time.
To help support and sustain the project, we may occasionally share links to relevant affiliate products or introduce unobtrusive advertisements in the future. Additionally, while the Progressive Web App (PWA) version is currently available for free, we may transition it to a paid feature later on.
However, our core commitment remains unchanged: the standard web app version of TimeDoco will always be 100% free.
Technically, yes—though we prefer to say it is AI-assisted. While artificial intelligence was used to help with the coding and testing processes, developing TimeDoco still required a significant investment of time, effort, and direction to get the features functioning exactly as intended. AI served as a highly valuable tool, but careful human oversight was essential to shape and refine the final product.
